My porch is a riot of color, thanks to the flowers that I planted during a warm snap in April. I planted too early — or so I thought, because I ended up having to cover them several times due to threats of frost and freezing. I put my tomatoes in at the same time — and today I picked eight grape tomatoes for dinner. Soon, I’ll have fried green tomato sandwiches.
Oh, and my corn? It’s already knee high and it’s not the Fourth of July.
